HOUSTON - A man driving a pickup truck died Saturday morning after slamming into a minivan and then the inside wall of the highway.
Police responded around 12:15 a.m. to an accident at N. Sam Houston Pkwy over Hollister. The pickup truck driver was driving fast westbound and lost control.
The driver slammed into the back of a slower-moving Ford Minivan and then into the inside wall. The truck slid against the wall for about 100 yards.
The 29-year-old man died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the minivan was not hurt. Deputies are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.
