HOUSTON – Houston firefighters battled a two-alarm fire Monday at a warehouse in southwest Houston.

It happened at about 11:33 a.m. in the 3800 block of Artdale. The second alarm was called at 11:45 a.m.

Heavy fire and smoke damaged the warehouse's structure.

A Houston Fire Department District Chief was transported due to shortness of breath. A firefighter was transported as well, with smoke inhalation.

HAZMAT was dispatched and the Houston Arson Bureau was notified.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Houston Fire Department said everything was under control at 12:25 p.m.
