CONROE, Texas -- If you think you're having a bad day, you haven't met Jacob Schreiner.
Last month, he got pulled over on FM 3083 near Four Corners when another driver hit his car during the traffic stop and it was caught on dash cam.
The 20-year-old admitted he cried.
"Oh I did, I absolutely did," he said. "I ain't gonna lie."
Schreiner was driving his prized possession, a 2006 Ford Mustang GT with a brand new engine that cost nearly $15,000.
Even before the crash, you can see him loving on his car while waiting for the officer to run his information.
"I was wiping the dirt off my spoiler," he told us. "I had to clean my muffler too because it was kind of dirty."
Deputy Tim Shackelford with Montgomery County's Precinct 2 Constables office said they were both lucky. He had just slipped his foot in his patrol car and shut the door.
"It was unbelievable really just a shock that it happened," said Deputy Shackelford. "The big man upstairs was watching over me."
The driver of the truck that plowed into the Mustang reportedly told the deputy that he spilled his Coke and was leaning over to pick up what was left and veered off the road.
He also had no auto insurance. Schreiner's day couldn't get any worse.
"I got pulled over," he said. "Then the guy hit me. It just started in the morning and ended right there."
Being a car lover himself, Deputy Shackelford decided the young driver had been through enough. He ripped up the ticket and gave him a warning instead.
Schreiner said that his car has about $5,000 worth of damage. He is finally getting it back from the shop on Friday.
