HOUSTON – Two young women are behind bars for a pair of robberies that happened on the same day earlier this month.
Emily Gregory, 30, and Melissa Trevino are each charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
A woman walking in the 9900 block of Beechnut said the women pulled up next to her outside a pet store and demanded her purse on July 10.
She told officers Trevino threatened her with a knife so she handed over the purse.
The victim was able to get their license tag number as they drove away in a Ford Explorer.
That same day, a man was robbed at knifepoint outside his apartment in the 10000 block of Club Creek.
He said Trevino put the knife to his back and they forced him inside his apartment. The women took a TV, DVR, laptop and cash.
The victim said he saw them get into a Ford Explorer with children inside. When they had to stop and wait for the apartment gate to open, he wrote down their license plate number.
The plate number matched the one from the Beechnut robbery.
Both victims also identified the suspects in a photo lineup.
Trevino and Gregory are each being held on $60,000 bonds.
