HOUSTON – Harris County Sheriff's deputies are trying to track down two men who pistol whipped a cashier and stole money from her register Tuesday morning.

It happened at the La Michoacana Meat Market in the 1200 block of FM 1960 West.

Deputies say two men walked in and went straight for the register, but did not shoot.

Instead they struck the clerk in the temple and she was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

The suspects took off in a dark minivan with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Customer Pamela Graham said she was heartbroken.

"Because this is a good store; because I own a business up the street so I come here for a lot of things and I really hate to hear that," she said.

Police say they will be reviewing surveillance footage from the attack in order to track down the suspects.
