HOUSTON -- Houston police say burglars tried to get into a Sam's Club on the west side overnight but were apparently scared off by workers inside.

It happened at the store on the Katy Freeway near Shadowdale around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday.

According to officers with the Houston Police Department, the suspects pried open the front doors and went in only to find employees hard at work. The suspects fled before they could take anything.

Police believe the suspects may have been after jewelry toward the front of the store.
