HOUSTON -- Three men were taken into custody early Monday following a break-in at a west Houston doctor's office, police said.

It was reported around 3 a.m. on Bellaire Boulevard just east of Synott.

A security guard inside the business heard a noise and went to investigate. He fired his gun when he saw the suspects but did not strike anyone, police said.

One suspect hid inside while two others went to the roof.

Houston police arrived, and a police dog bit the suspect inside the office, helping bring him into custody.

Police put up a ladder and took the other two suspects on the roof into custody as well.
