SUGAR LAND, Texas – Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in a home burglary case in the Sugar Land area.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home in the 4500 block of Jaymar Drive in the New Territory subdivision around 3:30 p.m. on July 21.
Deputies discovered that the perpetrator entered the home by smashing in a window in the rear door. Jewelry was the main item stolen during the burglary.
Video cameras recorded a sedan that deputies believe was tied to the crime.
At about 11:20 a.m., the video shows the four-door vehicle pull into the driveway. A heavy-set black male exited the vehicle and approached the house.
Just a minute later, he returned to the vehicle, and a thin black male exited the car and approached the house.
After that, the vehicle was moved to the street. At about 11:30 a.m., the video shows two males running to and then entering the vehicle on the street and leaving the scene.
Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
