A 69-year-old grandfather has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old mentally challenged girl on a special needs softball team.

The child's parents reported their daughter had been assaulted multiple times by Warren Doyle.

Doyle's grandson plays on the same team and Doyle assisted coaches and sometimes traveled with the team.

Days later, the little girl made an outcry to her parents, telling them what happened to her.The girl has been on the team for four years. The assaults allegedly began earlier this month while at a softball tournament in Burleson, Texas. They continued when they returned to Baytown, according to court documents.

Doyle has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

"If what they say is true, [he is] a monster, sick disgusting perverted monster," said Joey Sewell, whose child plays on the team.

Police initially identified Doyle as an assistant coach, but later clarified that he worked with the team in a non-official capacity.

The Baytown Police Department are asking parents whose children have been in close contact with Doyle to talk with their children.

If parents feel that their child has been victimized, please contact Detective Gallop at 281-420-6640.
