HOUSTON -- Fort Bend County Crimes Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect involved in two cases of passing counterfeit bills.

In the first case, a man entered the Kroger Store located in the 11500 block of State Highway 6 in the Sugar Land area at about 4:30 p.m. on July 21 and used 10 $100 counterfeit bills to purchase two Green Dot Pre-Paid Visa Cards.

Then, five hours later on the same date, the same suspect entered the Kroger in the 9300 block of State Highway 6 in the Houston area. Investigators said the man again used 10 counterfeit $100 bills to purchase two Green Dot Pre-Paid Visa Cards.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Passing counterfeit money is a third-degree felony and has a sentence range of 2 to 10 years and up to a $10,000 fine.
