HOUSTON – A 17-year-old boy went through a terrifying ordeal Sunday afternoon as human smugglers held him captive for hours in west Houston.

The victim's father talked to KHOU 11 News, but did not want to be identified.

"If you want my son, he need to give me $4,000. The two guys say I talk to your daddy. If he no bring me the money, I kill him and I kill you," said the teen's father.

His father was very nervous and called 911. Police said the teen was smuggled into the states from Mexico by three men, who were armed and dangerous.

Hours later, the teen's father was finally able to see his son. However, he was also staring down the barrel of a gun.

"He show me the gun and I say man I'm sorry, I don't have more money." the father said.

Officers chased the suspect and finally came to a stop on Hornwood and Marinette.

Poice were able to recover the teen unharmed, but the suspects got away.

The victim's father said he just wants to know they put his son through this terrifying ordeal.

At the end of the day, the father was just thankful his son is alive.
