HOUSTON Houston police have released the identity of a woman who was found dead last Tuesday at an abandoned warehouse in southeast Houston.

Houston police said a 911 caller reported that a woman s body would be found outside a building in the 5900 block of Wayland Street.

Officers responded around 11 p.m. and found Lakeisha Perkins, 35, dead at the scene.

Initial autopsy results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences revealed that Perkins had been assaulted prior to her death and died as a result of her injuries.
