HOUSTON -- AT&T and DirecTV have signed a deal to take over the troubled Comcast SportsNet Houston, the Houston Chronicle reported late Wednesday.

This is good news for Houston sports fans as up until now you could only see the channel on Comcast. This meant 60-percent of local households couldn't see Astros and Rockets games.

Comcast will likely still get to show the games, but now U-verse and DirecTV will carry them, too.

The Chronicle reports that the plan was filed just hours before a conference with a judge regarding the bankruptcy case involving the Astros-Rockets-Comcast partnership.
