LAS VEGAS Ray McCallum Jr. scored 29 points as the Sacramento Kings topped the Houston Rockets, 77-68, to win the Las Vegas NBA Summer League Championship.

The Kings closed out the game on a 19-3 run.

The Rockets were led by Nick Johnson who scored 17 for the Rockets. Houston also got 16 from Donatas Motiejunas and 15 from Isaiah Canaan.

McCallum Jr. came into the final with 55 points through the first 6 games of the summer league schedule in Las Vegas.

The last name may sound familiar to Houston sports fans. McCallum s father, Ray McCallum was the head coach of the Houston Cougars from 2000-2004.

As for the Rockets, the loss wraps up their summer league schedule. 2nd round pick Nick Johnson impressed everyone with his high flying dunks and better than expected play. Johnson averaged 14.3 points in the 14 games he played in.
