DICKINSON, Texas It was an amazing turnout Wednesday afternoon for a 5-year-old girl with terminal cancer who celebrated Princess Day.

Claire Lankford suffers from a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, and doctors have no cure.

Claire likes to dress up like a princess, and the community made a real life fairy tale come true.

Hundreds of people lined the streets of her neighborhood. Other little girls wore princess outfits to show their support and people held signs showing love to Claire.

Anytime you hear about a child who has cancer you want to do what you can to brighten their day a little bit, said Amanda Jarvis.

Claire, dawned in a princess gown, was accompanied by her parents on the carriage. She smiled and waved at everyone who showed up to show her love. She received countless flowers and other gifts.

I think it was amazing, said Sante Fe cheerleader Randi Williams.

Claire's parents were very thankful.

It's incredible to think that all these people would come out to honor your child, said Claire's mother.
