HOUSTON Arson investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that broke out at a southeast Houston metal shop early Wednesday.

Houston firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the National Oilwell Varco building on Garrow at Nagle around 2 a.m.

They made a fast attack to put out the flames, then brought in a Super Vac to clear up the smoke. The office of the building, where the fire began, sustained heavy damages.

No employees were present at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.
