BAYTOWN, Texas A mother demanded justice on Monday, after discovering that her 4-year-old daughter had possibly been the victim of a sexual assault in school.

The alleged incident happened at Harlem Elementary School in Baytown on Friday, inside a dimly lit classroom filled with pre-kindergartners who were watching a movie.

According to the mom, her daughter was being harassed by a small boy.

The little boy came over to her and she said go back to your spot or I ll get in trouble. Once she told that to the little boy, he immediately snatched her underwear down and stabbed her with a sharp, metal thing.

The mom said her daughter reported what had happened to the teacher s assistant, who was the only adult in the room at the time.

She scolded her. She said she was going to change her color and she d better sit down and shut up.

For the next couple of days, the mom claimed her daughter said nothing about what had taken place. The little girl broke her silence on Sunday when she noticed blood.

And she kept saying mommy come here, it hurts. And when I wiped her, there was blood on the tissue. And when I looked at her panties, there was blood in the seat of her panties.

The mom said she took her daughter to the doctor, who informed her that the little girl had suffered an injury.

The mom said the school kept her in the dark.

School officials confirmed that an investigation is underway, involving Child Protective Services and the Harris County Sheriff s Office.

Cathy Clausen, a spokesperson for the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District released the following statement:

While Goose Creek CISD cannot lawfully comment on the details of a student matter, the district can confirm that it has received a parent complaint and is conducting a thorough investigation. Goose Creek CISD officials are also cooperating with the Harris County Sheriff s Department and Child Protective Services in those agencies own investigations. Goose Creek CISD takes all matters related to student well-being and safety very seriously and will take all appropriate measures to address any wrongdoing, should it be found.

But the little girl s mother continued to demand answers.

I m not understanding how with so many kids in the classroom, no one was supervising or watching.
