HARRIS COUNTY, Texas With 99.15 percent of the precincts reporting, only two votes separated President Barack Obama from Mitt Romney in Harris County's overnight tally.

According to the report posted on the county clerk s website just before midnight Tuesday, Obama received 579,070 votes total while Romney received 579,068. Both were rounded off to having received 49.36 percent of the county s vote.

While Obama led in overall votes, Romney won among both absentee and early voters. Obama took the lead in Election Day voting.

As of the county's 8:23 a.m. update on Wednesday, 100 percent of the precincts were reporting, and Obama had 585,451 votes while Romney had 584,866 votes.
