HOUSTON While temperatures took a dive during last week s freeze, the cost of damages skyrocketed into the millions.This week Texans may be able to shed the double-layers of clothing, but will have to dig deep into their pocketbooks for property repairs.

According to the Insurance Council of Texas, over 10,000 homes received damages from frozen water pipes for an estimated $70 million in repair costs.

The biggest claims were reported in North Texas.
