HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - State troopers said a driver was injured and her passenger was killed when their vehicle rolled several times on Fry Road northeast of Katy.

The crash happened near Clay Road around 3 a.m. Thursday, troopers said.

The Acura was apparently speeding northbound on Fry when the driver failed to make a turn in the road, troopers said. Her car went into a ditch and then went airborne. The car flew across the street and landed in a field on the other side, rolling several times.

A male passenger was partially ejected and died from the impact.

The female driver was sent to the hospital in stable condition.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the driver may face charges for the crash.
