HOUSTON Authorities are searching for a man who opened fire on a crowd of people, wounding two women, in front of a night club early Sunday in east Houston, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, a man was kicked out of the El Tenampa Night Club at 3:30 a.m. for causing a disturbance and starting fights. The club is located near Market and Federal roads.

When the man was thrown out, he appeared to be intoxicated and started hollering that he was going to come back and shoot the place up, police said.

At 4 a.m. when the club was closing, the suspect drove by on Market Road and opened fire on a crowd of people in the parking lot, police said.

Two women, who were not involved with the suspect and him being kicked out, were hit by stray bullets, police said. One was hit in the arm, while the other was hit in the leg.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.

The suspect got away, but several people knew who he was and gave his name to HPD investigators.
