HOUSTON -- Houston police said someone managed to smash into an eastside check cashing business, stealing the ATM inside.

The crime happened around 3 a.m. Thursday on Maxey Road at Fleming Drive, according to the Houston Police Department.

An alarm went off, notifying officers of the break-in.

Investigators said they believe a pickup truck was used to smash into the front of the PLS Check Cash Store. Surveillance cameras may have captured the crime on video.
