HOSUTON -- In a neighborhood off T.C. Jester Boulevard and Fallbrook Drive in northwest Harris County, residents came together to catch two burglary suspects Thursday morning.

Deputies believe the two men broke a window in the back of a home on Sai Baba Drive.

I am happy for the neighborhood, said Romeo Smith, who owns a home near the victim's house.

Smith said he got a good look at the suspect's vehicle, and that another neighbor down the street followed them when they left.

Less than two miles away, the suspects pulled into an apartment complex in the 1400 block of West Gulf Bank Road. That s where they allegedly live. Thanks to the witness, Harris County Sheriff deputies arrived quickly.

Officials said they caught the suspects taking a television upstairs to their apartment. That s when they were arrested.

Inside the apartment, deputies said they found a laptop computer that had allegedly been stolen in the burglary. In their car, authorities found watches and other stolen electronics.

We're still missing some things, but I am happy to get this stuff back, said Vinh Dinh. Dinh is a friend of the victim and helped translate for them. They speak Vietnamese.

He said the neighborhood has been hit hard by thieves in recent months.

We've got one neighbor, they are Vietnamese too, and the same thing happened to them, Dinh said.

That was just two months ago. Now, Harris County Sheriff s investigators are trying to determine if the two men arrested Thursday were responsible for that crime.

Officials said the two suspects have been in trouble with the law before. Deputies said one is believed to be wanted for a parole violation, while the other has a criminal history for breaking into homes and attacking a woman for her purse.
