SAN ANTONIO, Texas-- It took a Bexar County jury just a few hours Friday night to convict 33-year-old James Morrison of capital murder in the 2009 shooting deaths of Laura and Krystle Moten.

Morrison, 34, could face the death penalty.

We want him to die. Marjorie Moten-Suggs told KENS 5 moments after the verdict was read. She said he killed her sister and niece in the murder.

Morrison was found guilty of killing Krystle Moten and Laura Moten during a fight on April 18, 2009 at the Saddlewood Apartments, 2554 NE Loop 410.

Morrison also shot his pregnant girlfriend, Candice Moten. She was in a coma for two weeks afterward and lost her unborn child.

Morrison did not face charges for killing the unborn child.

The punishment phase is scheduled to begin Monday at 9 a.m.

The jury system works, said prosecutor Jan Ischy. They went back there, they looked at the evidence, looked at the facts and came up with the truth.
