HOUSTON There s still a 70% chance of showers through Sunday night before it drops off for the beginning of the week, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

Flash flooding is still a possibility late tonight, due to the heavy rain and already wet ground. By 7 a.m. on Monday, rain chances will be down to 40%, with isolated storms affecting some areas. Temperatures will be down in the 70s and humid.

The 7-day forecast shows the area drying out around mid-week and highs bumping against 90-degrees.
