HOUSTON - Errol Nolan knew the making Olympics was his goal how he ended up getting there, well that s surprising part.

The UH junior felt he could have made Team USA, but to everyone s surprise, he decided to realize his Olympic dream by heading back to his family s roots which meant going to Jamaica.

Ignoring his family s request of staying to run for the United States, the Rosenberg native traveled to the island nation last month with his father. He qualified for the countries 4 x 400 meter relay team.

KHOU 11 Sports reporter Daniel Gotera caught up with Nolan who talks about his qualifying experience, which included meeting the World s Fastest Man, 2008 Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.
