ORLANDO, FL - The Houston Dynamo and Seattle Sounders played to a 2-2 tie in a preseason scrimmage Tuesday morning at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.

Despite Seattle using its starting lineup for the first 62 minutes of the match, the Dynamo broke out in front in the 11th minute when midfielder Geoff Cameron stripped the ball from Seattle forward Fredy Montero, broke into the right side of the penalty area, and crossed the ball to the back post for Cam Weaver to tap it in. It was Weaver s first goal of the preseason and Cameron s first assist.

The physical first half saw each team whistled for numerous fouls, often setting up free kicks in dangerous positions. The Dynamo almost went up 2-0 in the 25th minute when Weaver fired in the rebound of a Danny Cruz shot, but the play was disallowed as offside.

Houston changed its entire squad at halftime and went up 2-0 in the 52nd minute when Francisco Navas Cobo served a corner kick to Brian Ching, whose header deflected in off Seattle goalkeeper Josh Ford and a field player. The goal was the second of the preseason for Ching.

Seattle began its comeback in the 61st minute, when Dynamo defender Eddie Robinson was whistled for a foul against O Brian White in the penalty area, despite Robinson s claims he cleared the ball. Fredy Montero converted the penalty kick with a shot that Houston s Tyler Deric got a hand to but could not stop.

After changing their entire squad following the first goal, the Sounders tied the game in the 69th minute. Left back Michael Tetteh dribbled into the middle of the field and exchanged passes with Roger Levesque at the top of the penalty area, with Tetteh eventually tapping the ball into an empty net to tie the match.

Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall posted another shutout half to start the game, giving him 265 minutes played in the preseason without allowing a goal. The Dynamo are now 4-0-2 in preseason play, with a 3-0-2 mark against MLS opposition.

Houston resumes action Thursday night in the semifinals of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, taking on Toronto FC at 7 p.m. CT in a match that can be seen on
