HOUSTON Police charged a 30-year-old man Friday in the murder of a 64-year-old Vietnam veteran while he slept in West Houston.

Investigators said Charles Lambert was found with his throat slit Wednesday afternoon under an overpass at Highway 6 and Park Row Boulevard.

According to witnesses, Lambert had been arguing with a man named Chad.

Detectives said Chad Goodeaux, 30, sent a text message to someone bragging about slicing Lambert s throat.

Goodeaux was detained Thursday and had a pending murder charge.
