HOUSTON The Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant leads the Western Conference squad against the Miami Heat s Lebron James in the 62nd NBA All-Star Game Sunday at the Toyota Center.

Bryant was the overall leader in the NBA All-Star Balloting with 1,591,437 votes, while James finished second with 1,583,646 votes. This is Bryant s record 15th consecutive All-Star appearance.

He will be joined by fellow Laker Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, both of the L.A. Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder s Kevin Durant as starts for the West squad.

The New York Knick s Carmelo Anthony and the Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett join James in the East s frontcourt, while the Miami s Dwyane Wade and Boston s Raja Rondo form the backcourt. Rondo will miss the game due to injury.

Erik Spoelstra, coach of the Eastern Conference All-Stars, will name a replacement for Rondo.
