AZLE -- Tears streamed down her face when Alejandrina Guzman heard her name. Then, she spun her wheelchair toward her father and he was near tears, too.

I feel really blessed, she said after the tears stopped flowing. There are no words to describe this right now.

Friday night, on the 50-yard line during Azle's halftime, Allie, as she is called, was crowned homecoming queen. She is one of the most popular girls at Azle High. She is 11th in her class of 370 seniors. And she is only 2'8 tall.

Allie has diastriophic dysplasia. She was born with a cleft palate, a club foot and dwarfism.

But she radiates goodness. And when she won, an entire student body won, too.

This represents Azle High School, she said. It represents how well they look past the outside. I keep saying it doesn't matter what you look like or who you are, it is how you represent yourself. And Azle High School, this is just an honor.
