HOUSTON All parties escaped uninjured after a driver crashed into a fire engine on the side of the freeway Saturday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., Houston Fire Department engine 68 was responding to a stranded vehicle on the Southwest Freeway near Fondren.

As the firefighters approached the scene and were preparing to park, a pickup truck reportedly collided into engine.

The front portion of the truck crumpled under the impact, but no one was hurt.
