HOUSTON The stifling hot weather will continue Tuesday, but there may be some good news on the horizon.We may actually see somewhat of a cool front toward the end of the week, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Gene Norman said.

Tuesday will see lows in the upper-90s and highs were expected to top off around 97 degrees, but the heat index will range from 103 to 107 degrees.

There is a 30-percent chance for rain late Saturday, which will drop highs to 90 degrees on Sunday and 88 degrees Monday.

The tropics are staying busy. We re tracking Tropical Storm Leslie in the Atlanic.Leslie is a slow-movingstorm with maximum sustained winds of 65 miles per hour for now, but it could intensify to a Category 2 hurricane heading to Bermuda, perhaps by the weekend. It will not affect the United States.

A new depression has also formed.Tropical Depression 13 may become Tropical Storm Michael, but it could dissipate over the next couple of days.

What s left of Isaac continues to push off to the northeast, dropping rain along the east coast.
