LEAGUE CITY, Texas An Amber Alert issued for a14-year-old girl who went missing from League City Tuesday has been canceled, according to the Office of EmergencyManagement.Andrea Love Fox was found in Wichita Falls with James Dean Martin, a 21-year-old U.S. Army soldier.

Fox, who is originally from Timpson, Texas, was visiting her grandmother for the week in League City when she disappeared.

Martin, who is the older brother of one of Andrea s friends, is also from Timpson.

Andrea s grandmother, Dianne Schoening, said the teen left a note before she vanished.

[It said] I ve gone to New York. I love y all. Don t look for me, I m safe. I ll be home in time for school, Schoening said.

But Andrea s family didn't believe that, and neither did investigators.

Authorities thought Andrea and Martin were heading to Ft. Carson, Colorado, where Martin is stationed. Police said Martin had to return to his Army base in Colorado by Friday.

Police believed they were traveling in a blue Chevy Aveo possibly with buyer s tags.

We believe that she is with a 21-year-old male, she is 14, and the amount of time that she has been gone and he has not contacted anybody to say that she is with him or not, we just believe there is a possibility that she is in danger right now, said Sgt. John Jordan of the League City Police Department.

Schoening said the teen didn t act out of the ordinary leading up to her disappearance. She noticed that Andrea was playing with her phone on Monday, but the teen said she was only playing games on it.

I went in and told her goodnight and I love her, and the next thing I know, my husband is waking us up and saying that Andrea is gone, Schoening said. She s 14 years old. She s very immature. She could be convinced to do something pretty easily.

Schoening tried to call her granddaughter s phone, but said it went straight to voicemail.

Wichita Falls police found Fox and Martin asleep in the car on the side of the road. Fox, who was unharmed, is being questioned by police.

Martin is also in police custody.
