HOUSTON -- The Harris County Sheriff s Office is releasing the composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the attempted kidnapping of a boy on November 6, 2013.

It wasn t until recently that investigators were able to get the child to describe the suspect well enough to develop the sketch.

The 12-year-old boy was walking home from his school bus stop in the 11300 block of Canyon Shore Dr. in Humble around 4:15 p.m. when he was confronted by the suspect who exited his pickup truck.

The suspect told the boy to get inside the truck and, when the child refused, grabbed the boy s wrist and displayed a handgun. The boy then swung a backpack at the suspect and managed to run away. The suspect got into his truck and followed the boy to a nearby neighborhood recreation center where the boy called his mother. The suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is a Hispanic male between 20 to 30 years of age with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a skinny build, and has a tattoo on his right forearm of a knife through a skull with a rose flower on top of the skull. The suspect was driving a black or dark-colored four-door pickup truck, unknown make and model.
