HOUSTON -- Investigators say two men used their disguise as police officers on Halloween night to abduct and rape a 14-year-old trick-or-treater in northeast Houston.

The teen is especially vulnerable because she has a learning disability.

According to police, a group of teenagers were approached by the two men in a red truck near Las Cruces Avenue and Oak Knoll Lane after sundown.

The men reportedly asked the teenage victim to sit inside the truck, but she refused.

Documents state that the girl was eventually lured into the truck and held hostage for more than ten hours.

It makes me feel like the streets aren t safe no more, said the girl s mother. When she told him she was 14, he was like, I don t care.

Eric Bonilla, 23, was later arrested and charged with raping the 14-year-old girl. He lives less than a quarter mile from where she was kidnapped.

Investigators said Bonilla sexually assaulted the teen at a nearby park while the truck s driver watched.

He had to have been sick. For every man out there that s convicted of that, you sick, said Timeko Dunford, a relative of the victim. What is wrong that you have to touch little children like this? She s still a teen.

The girl s older brother found out his sister was missing from other kids in the northeast Houston neighborhood.

[They said] somebody took your sister. I said, what? They said, it was a red Avalanche. As soon as I heard that, I grabbed my bike and started riding around the hood, said the 17-year-old.

The victim s brother said he was determined to find his sister and her captors himself. He recalls searching the area on his bike for hours.

The girl s family eventually helped lead police to Bonilla s home on Laura Koppe Road. By then, the girl had already been freed and had walked to school.

I said, yeah, that s them. Let s go. Let s go. I swear to god, I wanted to beat him up as soon as I saw him, explained the victim s brother.

Bonilla was booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of sexual assault of a child. He has since posted bond.

According to documents, officers saw a black police-type raid jacket with police patches on the sleeves along with pepper spray and a white towel inside Bonilla s truck.

Bonilla and his accomplice are also accused of terrorizing their victim with a taser.

The Harris County District Attorney s Office confirms there is a warrant out for second suspect 28-year-old Daryl Mayberry.
