HOUSTON Investigators have arrested and charged a 22-year-oldHuntsville man in connection with the murder of a Klein High School student whose body was found in the Sam Houston National Forest, Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said.

Authorities received an anonymous call from a payphone around 11:20 a.m. Monday about the location of a dead body. Officials responded and located the remains of 16-year-old Josael Guevara on the north side of FM 2929. Investigators said his school ID was found near his body.

It was a very violent crime scene, said Tim Whitecotton with the Walker County Sheriff s Office.

Sheriff s investigators wouldn t say much about the case. Other sources told KHOU 11 News Reporter Vicente Arenas that the student s body had been cut in several places with a sharp object, with his shoulder and legs almost severed.

Deputies from the Walker County Sheriff s office, along with the Texas Rangers and Precinct 4 Constable s Office, were able to identify a suspect vehicle from evidence found at the scene.

Detectives found Cristian Zamora, who is from El Salvador, at a local residence and arrested and charged him with murder. Investigators said they may make more arrests in the case.

Some people were horrified to learn what happened.

I couldn t believe something like that could happen in small town like this, said area resident Sheila Harvey.
