HOUSTON Another incident of road rage has police looking for a gunman, and avictim feeling lucky to be alive.

He shared his story, but asked not to be identified because the gunman is still on the loose.

The incident occurred during Wednesday morning s rush hour on the east 610 Loop near Kirkpatrick.

The victim said he was headed southbound in his pickup truck on his way to work when he noticed a car speeding up behind him.

It approached at a rapid pace, probably 85 to 90 miles per hour, he said.

According to the victim, the car tried to pass him on the emergency lane and then pulled around to the passenger side.

His window was down and that s when he proceeded to fire one shot at the truck, he said.

The bullet traveled through the passenger side door, struck the center console and came to rest on top.

The victim was the only one in the vehicle at the time. No one was hurt.

It s just an outrage that somebody has the audacity to shoot at another living human being, he said.

The victim managed to take down the suspect s license tag number and provided a good description of the suspect s vehicle to HPD.

It s just disturbing and gives you a feeling of uneasiness, he said.

If he shot at me, how many times has he shot at other innocent civilians? The next time the person might not be as fortunate and be seriously injured, if not killed.

The suspect s vehicle was described as a black four-door sedan.

The tag was traced back to an address in north Harris County.

So far, no one has been arrested.
