HOUSTON A driver who ran a red light and hit a sport utility vehicle, causing it to flip, was on the run after he sped away from the scene, police said.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on S. Gessner at Harwin in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said the car clipped the SUV s back end in the middle of the intersection, flipping it onto its side. A woman inside the SUV was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Police did not provide a description of the suspect s car.
