HOUSTON A stripper called Pocahontas who s facing capital murder and aggravated robbery charges was denied bond in court early Wednesday morning.

The suspect, whose real name is Leurissie Ashley Ross, didn t have much to say as she appeared before a judge in detention court in orange, jail-issued clothes.

Ross was arrested in Katy Tuesday morning, after investigators said they received a Crime Stoppers tip on her whereabouts.

Investigators believe Ross used her beauty to lure her victims, setting them up to be robbed. They said since her arrest, she s been remorseful about her alleged role in the crimes.

The most recent case happened on February 17, 2012, in the 2300 block of Tidwell.

Budrohoe Briscoe had picked up a relative at the airport and told him they were going to meet a friend named Pocahontas.

When they got to her apartment on Tidwell, Pocahontas asked Briscoe to meet her in the courtyard. The cousin waited in the car, but he saw two men approach Briscoe and shoot him three times.

Briscoe was rushed to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries. He left behind seven daughters.

It s going to always be an open wound because you ll never know why, said Sandra Daniel, Briscoe s aunt. You didn t just take away a father. You took away a nephew. You took away someone who had a sweet, kind heart.

He was a good person, you know, kind-hearted, said Courtney Houston, Briscoe s cousin. He always brought out the best of everybody, you know, and that s what we are going to miss about him.

Briscoe s uncle told detectives that Pocahontas, 20, was a dancer at Ice Cream Castles. He gave them her real name and provided photos.

Detectives checked the database and learned that Ross had been charged with a similar case last December 30.

In that case, Carlton Donnato told police that Ross and her boyfriend came to his house on Hollister and robbed him. Donnato said the boyfriend, Kevin Johnson, shot him before they fled.

Donnato survived and identified Ross in a photo lineup. She was charged with aggravated robbery and put on an ankle monitor.

Johnson has been charged with aggravated robbery, but he and a third suspect were still on the run Wednesday.

Police said they know of at least one other victim.

In that case, the victim has not chosen to cooperate with us, said HPD homicide detective C.P. Abbey. So we believe others exist. Others may feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about coming forward. But in a case like this, it s important we re able to understand everything she s been involved in, as well as the other defendants in that case.

Word of Ross arrest will likely come as a relief to the victim s relatives who believe Ross is evil.

Our family will be there every day to see you in court, Daniel said.

The stripper has a 1-year-old son, who was taken into CPS custody and released to relatives.
