GALVESTON, Texas -- Many Galveston beachgoers this Fourth of July stuck to the areas in front of resorts and East-end beaches where the record-seaweed mess has been somewhat pushed out of the way.
Tourists like the Ortiz family from Round Rock, say they were surprised by the seaweed but won t let it stink up their vacation plans.
We ll still have fun, said Jenny Ortiz. Moody Gardens, pleasure Pier, it s lots to do here.
Other families though have cut their vacation short because of the site and smell.
