HOUSTON Houston police are investigating the shooting death of a man found lying on a street located just north of downtown Houston.

The victim was found at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday at 2100 Hardy Street.

The victim was inside a silver car with two unknown males at the intersection of Noble and Hardy, witnesses said. That's where he was shot and then pulled from the vehicle and left in the street. Police said the suspects then fled the scene in the silver vehicle.

The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
