FREEPORT, Texas -- Freeport police officers shot and killed a man on Tuesday night who fired at them first, according to police.

Police were responding to a shots fired call.

Officers spotted the suspect and as they approached his car, they said he pulled out a gun and fired at the officers.

The officers fired back and killed him. The suspect has not yet been identified.
