HOUSTON A man who is a suspect in a robbery on the University of Houston campus was in critical condition Tuesday after a chase ended in a wreck, Galveston County deputies said.
It all began at about 3:30 a.m., when a Dickinson police officer spotted a suspicious vehicle on C.R. 646. The officer ran the plates and found out that the vehicle was stolen out of Houston, investigators said.When he tried to pull over the suspect vehicle the driver took off down Highway 646 toward Bacliff.
When the driver reached the intersection of Highway 646 and Highway 146, he lost control and flipped over several times, police said
Two female passengers were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle. After extrication, he was airlifted to UTMB in Galveston where he remained Tuesday evening in critical condition.
The driver was identified as Terance Dwayne Anderson, who in addition to the UH campus robbery, is wanted in connection with a series of robberies in La Marque.
