HOUSTON-- Saturday afternoon looked a lot like summer as people soaked in the sun around Houston.

There were joggers in the parks, canoes on bayous and children playing under splash pads.

But forecasters say dipping temperatures are likely to lead to the coldest climate in months.

Many are people are welcoming the change with open arms, since it would mean fewer mosquitoes.

This year, Texas led the nation in the number of West Niles cases. The greater Houston area alone saw at least seven deaths.

Along Buffalo Bayou, trees are finally beginning to turn yellow. Bobby and Yolande Rivers were walking their dog Saturday night.
