HOUSTON Keep your umbrella handy, Friday will bring more showers and thunderstorms to the Houston area, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.

The day will start with temperatures in the low-70s and will warm up to the upper-80s.

There is a 60-percent chance for rain.

Look for another round of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms, he said.

The seven-day forecast shows a front coming through. We'll see rain chances drop to 20-percent on Sunday.
