HOUSTON A driver is dead after he was shot and killed during a road rage incident in a southwest Houston strip center early Sunday, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 9600 block of Bissonnet.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a car that had crashed through a brick wall in the strip center. Three people were in the car at the time of the shooting.
Detectives said the driver, 22-year-old Aaron James Francis, and two passengers, a male and a female, were eating inside the car in the parking lot prior to the incident.
Then when they left the parking lot, another vehicle pulled up and cut them off, police said. The two drivers exchanged words before a passenger in the suspect s vehicle pulled a gun and opened fire.
After Francis was shot, he hit the accelerator and drove through some bushes before crashing into the eastside wall of a church in the strip center.
The two passengers in the victim s car were not injured in the crash.
Police said the suspects are two males and a female in a white four-door Toyota, maybe a Camry.
