HOUSTON - Houston police were called to a Family Dollar along the East Freeway near Lockwood overnight after someone broke in.

Police said an alarm went off at the store shortly before 4 a.m. Friday.

They arrived to find a hole in the wall, but the suspect or suspects were already gone.

Surveillance video showed a man knocking out a few bricks in the wall to climb into the back of the store. Once inside, he realized the back storage area was locked and he couldn t get into the retail portion of the store.

The man fled the scene empty-handed before officers arrived.
