MINNEAPOLIS -- A security camera outside a restaurant in Minneapolis captured a man punching an 8-year-old boy to the ground so that he could steal his iPad.
Aaron Stillday, 32, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated robbery in the incident. Police caught him after a Good Samaritan chased him down, reports CBS Minnesota.
Poor kid, Mohammad Armeli, head chef at the restaurant who chased the robber for more than a half-mile as he called 911, told the station. I can't believe it, the blood was all over his face. Could have broken his nose.
This is the scum of the earth, Armeli continued. You cannot hit a child like that. Don't hit him for his iPad, or for anything.
The iPad was shattered in the commission of the robbery - but the 8-year-old boy's sister told the station the family took the shattered iPad to an Apple store, along with video of the incident, and they were given new one.
