BRYAN, Texas Four people accused of disciplining a nine-year-old girl by holding her head underwater in a bathtub were arrested Friday in Bryan and College Station, police said.

The girl s mother Shauna Burns, father Adrian Robinson, grandmother Jaqueline Robinson and her roommate Larry Boyd have all been charged with child endangerment.

The incident allegedly happened in mid-December at the grandmother s apartment on Cole Street in Bryan.

Police said three of the suspects admitted to disciplining the child for bad behavior at school by forcing her head underwater in a bathtub baptismal style as a punishment.

Child Protective Services and Bryan police are investigating.

All four people arrested were out of jail on $5,000 bond.
