HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A driver died at the hospital after being involved in a wreck during an alleged street racing incident, deputies said late Wednesday.

According to the Harris County Sheriff s Office, witnesses saw someone in a sports coupe racing a motorcycle that was estimated to be doing at least 100 mph.

A witness said the bike and the sports car were traveling eastbound on W. Little York near Commerce Creek when the car lost control and went sideways into a ditch. The driver was ejected from the car and was taken to the hospital by Life Flight. He was later pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported.

Deputies said the motorcycle rider never stopped.
